Essence of Life 2024

Seeking the unseen I headed down to the interval to sink into the moment and let some images be created. 

For much of the summer of 2024 and into the fall I spent mornings and afternoons sitting by the river and in the meadows waiting for the right time pondering if I was chasing an image or if I was just part of what was happening. 

What emerged were these (as yet unedited) images and a sense of being intertwined in it all. Intertwined and witnessing it happening. Then relying on the practice of photography, allowing the light to emerge as it wished. Allowing the characters to stroll, buzz, soar or flap across the frame and letting the shutter be pressed. Letting it all be done by the moment itself.

Being lost in the moment. 

Just being.
